Feels like my bf’s $1000 bed. But it comes with a chemical smell and it is strong. The smell seems to be fating after 2 weeks of opening it. But it is still there. Be prepare to have a long period of time of waiting before actually putting it to your bed.
Also, about the size. I thought it is too short for a twin as well. But my bf told me my dorm bed is an extra long twin. So that might be the reason for the complain of length.

I purchased this product (2 mattress toppers) for Christmas. It arrived 10 days before scheduled which was much appreciated. The toppers unfolded quickly and there was no offensive smell as reported, they are comfortable and worth the cost of purchase. My sister and I consider them to be a good buy. DhJennings
I bought this mattress pad a few weeks ago and am only giving it 4 stars instead of 5 stars because of the “newness” smell that others have written about. I let the mattress pad air outside for about 12 hours before putting it on the bed, but it still has the new smell (a few weeks later). It’s not so bad that it’s a hindrance, it’s just obvious if you really try to smell it (I’m sure some Febreze would likely take care of the odor). The mattress pad itself is really comfortable. I feel like I have a brand new mattress and am sleeping really comfortably. This was a really good purchase. Caution however….when the foam pad is shipped, it’s rolled very tightly then shrinkwrapped in plastic. The outside edges get kind of mashed together and hard. When I first opened it, I thought it was going to stay really mashed and hard and I’d have to return it, but after airing it out for several hours, the foam found it’s softness and natural shape. Before putting it on the bed, let it expand to it’s natural shape for a day or so (and try to do something about the odor). Just don’t expect to take it out of the box and put it on the bed straight away.
I bought this for my mother, she had to stay in bed after surgery and I wanted her to be comfortable. she used this pad for a month and she loved it. Of course it is no substitute for the tempuropedic mattress but it is very decent.
I purchased this product for my mother who suffers with severe back pains. She has used this for a little over a month now and absolutely loves it. She is sleeping through the night and wakes up with almost no back pains.
I’ve had this foam mattress for two years, the odor didn’t last once it was aired out in another room for a few days. The mattress is too short by about an inch or two, a queen won’t fit the regular queen mattress, so I purchased a king for my queen. No surprise! The king was too short for the queen! This foam topper will follow the contours of the existing mattress, any depression in the original mattress will show up under the topper. If you have an old mattress, bite the bullet and buy a good mattress.
I recently purchased this product for my elderly grandmother, who was having trouble sleeping due to arthritis. She adores it, and says she is getting the best sleep she’s had in years. She is now able to rest comfortably in any position, and has stopped tossing and turning. This product is definitely one of the best purchases I have ever made!

I got one of these things used from my mom, so I didn’t get a chance to smell the VOC’s when it was new. Then I moved cross country and left my foam topper on the other side of the US (Pacific Coast). I just bought one from another retailer (C*stc0) and it smelled to Formaldehyde.
I remember Formaldehyde was used in the older formulations of paint I made at work. The Formaldehyde is used as a Fungicide or Biocide to deter bio-contamination. So let it air out (or ‘off-gas’ as we say in chemistry) outside before you use it.
I bought it because it was so great to sleep on and my back missed it sooo much. It made my bed very comfortable, so it was hard form me to kick people off the bed when I wanted to sleep! So I had to give it 4 stars instead of 5 stars.
Now that I’m on the East Coast my back was killing me and I went to purchase the foam topper. I missed it soo much that I don’t mind the Formaldehyde smell… after I let it air out.
This is a great product. It is as soft and comforting as the description makes it out to be. One thing though.. If you have a chemical sensitivity you will not be able to use this mattress for months because of the smell. (voc’s)
This pillow is at once firm but yielding. I bought it because I have some cervical issues: a couple of mis-aligned vertabrae & stiff & sore neck muscles. I get support from this pillow, but it takes a little while, if you’re used to squashing up a pillow to get comfortable — this one doesn’t squash up, altho it does give & mold a bit. Good support pillow!
I had previously bought a foam style matress and found it offered a great deal of firm back support, which is what made me try this pillow for its neck support. Although as other reviewers have mentioned it is NOT a SERTA brand name pillow, it does do the job quite well and I’ve been very happy with it since day one.
There is a “thick” and a “thin” edge to the pillow to accommodate different body styles since the foam is so supportive. It does not collapse like a down pillow does. I have sleep apnea and it has made a measurable difference in my airway at night to the point that I travel with this in my baggage going to hotels and cruises for a good night’s rest guaranteed.
As for potential cons,
My doctor had also tried the foam matresses and found that they were “hot” to him – I have not had that problem with my matress or pillow and think it is a factor of the cover you put over the matress/pillow. I chose a pair of 1000 thread pillowcases from amazon to go with this and have been satisfied with the combination.

I think the pillow’s very comfortable and I sleep great with it! I have been having some neck issues, so I thought this would help–it hasn’t solved them, but I sure do rest a lot better with the pillow. I don’t find that it was cheap looking or smelled like a manufacturing plant (like some reviews on these types of pillows have said), and I think it was the perfect amount of firmness! I really recommend it!
