I bought the foam topper so that my futon mattress which had collapsed in the middle would stop sending me crying to chiropractor. The mattress is firm without being too firm for my girlfriend who is on the opposite end of the firm/squooshy spectrum from my tastes. I rather enjoy the sensation of being held up for a moment before the heat of my body sinks me into the mattress. Getting unstuck from sinking down into the foam is a little interesting at times, and sometimes I wonder if my shoulders are just too cold to sink in as they seem to get a little rounded in the mornings.

All in all an excellent purchase. Very little odor which was gone before I really noticed it, and the mattress seems to be holding up well and it works for my preferences for firm and my girlfriend’s preferences for soft.

I went to Bed Bath and Beyond looking for memory foam pads and pillows memory foam mattress pad for someone with back problems, but they were really expensive and I was wondering if there is a better place to look for this. I live in the average suburbs and I have all the typical stores and mall. I was thinking - department stores or a mattress store?
